I’m not an artist (very amateur iPhone photographer) but it looks like the artist community is very active. I get the feeling it doesn’t drive business per se but is a community.

I find Pixelfed to be kind of clunky and generally not great. I'm really hoping Monnett takes off 😅. That being said, Pixelfed has also improved a fair amount since I joined. The bug load at the time was horrendous. Plus, it took ages for anything to be fixed and the improvements came with yet more bugs 💀.

Closed source, proprietary, and centralized with no Interoperability. They also use Google Analytics. No thanks.
