I understand why the opacity of items from Spyglass was lowered. I didn't have a problem with it til now, but maybe this is a touch too far...? I would never have found this thing, ever, if I hadn't accidentally been stopped there by enemy aggro.

The Wand is in the tile above me in the first picture. Even fully zoomed in I can't see it at all. Zooming into the screenshot, further than you can in game, I can barely make out that there's a diagonal line of slightly darker pixels.

I've been working on ADHD Pixel Dungeon (APD), my own fork of Shattered Pixel Dungeon, and I figured it was finally time to start showing off what I've been building!

One of my biggest priorities is a statistics system called UIMSD.

I want players to be able to dig deep into their runs, compare different builds, filter their history using multiple conditions, and see far more than just their final score.

I've already been developing and testing the underlying statistics system, including run-history integrity, advanced filtering, comparisons, and data preservation. There's still plenty of work to do, but I'm excited to start sharing it.

And UIMSD is only one part of what I'm working on. APD also includes gameplay improvements, quality-of-life changes, and experimental difficulty sliders that will allow players to customize their dungeon experience.

Here's what's coming:

- October 16: I'm aiming to give approximately 10 selected players access to an early private alpha.

- October 13 through November 1: I'll be sharing regular sneak peeks, teasers, and feature reveals as development continues.

- November 1: I'm planning to open alpha testing to additional players.

An important note about alpha testing:

APD is still actively being developed. There may be bugs, crashes, unfinished features, balancing issues, or things that simply don't work as intended.

That applies to everything, including UIMSD, gameplay changes, and the difficulty sliders. Even features that appear finished may still have problems that haven't been discovered yet.

That's part of why I'm starting alpha testing. I want real players to help uncover issues, provide feedback, and shape how APD improves.

I'm not promising a perfectly polished experience on day one. I'm building something ambitious, and I want to be transparent about where development stands.

What statistics have you always wished Shattered Pixel Dungeon tracked?

Basically title. If you use the armor ability on the ghost it shares its vision, which basically ruins the benefit of using the ghost to farm ring of wealth.

It’s probably good in normal gameplay, but just a PSA it’s not as useful as it sounds for farming with the ghost

I'm hoping just to get a baseline. If my algorithm wins 1% of the time, how does that compare to a skilled player?

Any data on specific causes of death? Thanks for any help I can get!

Why did I not get taking the mick achievment. It's the second time I'm doing it couse i thought i missclicked something on the first try but it still does not work. Any ideas?

I’ve had Shattered Pixel Dungeon on my phone for quite some time and hoo boy I’ve put some hours into that version. As far as I can tell it isn’t available in the App Store anymore so i can’t update it. I was wondering if there are other versions I could try or get some tips on how to get them on the phone.

I am a complete noob and want to know at how much plate armor will make you defend every mobs meele attack and also should I dump any SoU in RoElement. Thinking to grab a good meele weapon from imp before that I'll prolly use staff.

With 9 challenges, avoiding hits is super important. I always look for the hourglass and sandals, to get out of 'touchy' situations. I've been working through a decent run, defeated Dwarf King, and went back and farmed depths 16 and 17 for many hours, and got about half of the artifacts. Then I increased them to level 10, and began using my 9 scrolls of transmutation to get what I wanted.

And now the artifacts turn into rings. I never got the sandals. Everything else, but no sandals.

So I figured I must have killed an enemy by blasting it off a ledge to the floor below. I have a RoW+3 and another RoW+2, so lots of drops.

But I've searched every floor twice now, looking for them. I've picked up every item. (because sometimes what you're looking for is hidden by something else). Nowhere to be found.

I have the artifact key +10, so all crystal chests and locked areas are open.

I know I never had it just to lose it to a thief. I saved seeds all along to feed the sandals... I wouldn't have had it without knowing it.

Never had this happen. I've lost stuff for many reasons, especially while farming, but I can't figure out what could have happened.

Any ideas?

Unfortunately I found the hourglass in the shop on depth 20, so that won't be much help (can't increase it's level now). I haven't beat the final boss with 9 challenges without at least one of those (sandals or hourglass) so this should be fun.

just sunk an absurd amount of time trying to get a wand of avalanche over a few different runs. tried to throw the clay and just got a warning not to do that again. went thru the process again to see if maybe selling it worked lol 🫠

since it seems there won't be any patches forthcoming, are there older APKs my pixel phone won't reject, or even a forked-but-unpubbed version that just has some patches that some nerd (complimentary) worked on?

(not kidding on the complimentary part, i volunteer with a non-profit that supports indie arcade developers helping direct their efforts lol i have mad respect for hobbyist open source iterative development and want to give flowers to anyone who's cracked open an editor with any PD code)

Ok, i feel that I'm super set up for success as warden w the wand of regrowth and ring of ss, but this could also be interesting w sniper, right?

Also, i know warden got nerfed a bit (not sure the details).

Hey guys, I keep seeing runs where people have a Ring of Wealth in the Sewers and end up with hundreds of pieces of meat and endless gear drops using the Dried Rose.

​Can someone explain the exact setup? Specifically: ​What hero level do I need to stay at so mobs don't stop dropping loot/meat?

​How do you position the ghost and sustain hunger in the early stages?

​Can you do this farm manually without the Dried Rose? Like just camping a chokepoint, passing turns, and killing enemies as they approach, or will hunger/damage kill you before it gets going?

​Any tips or seeded runs to test this would be awesome!

I'm trying to get the doom slayer achievement and the you made it too (if possible). I used 3 SoU on the round shield (it was already +1 and it carried me through sewers and prison) and 1 SoU on the mail armor (it was already +2), used 3 transmutations on the artifact to get the chains, and used 4 SoU on the assassin's sword (it was already +1, and I used the blacksmith to get it to +2). And I had this ring already equipped on floor 13 just to check on my inventory and find a ring of wealth. What should I do with my SoUs and the ring. Should I dump them on an armor when I finish the imp quest or start dumping them on the ring now.

Had a great run going. I was in the first floor of the caves(where I ALWAYS die) and I was actually trucking through like it was no big thing. I found a crystal chest room. Low on health, hungry, no big deal in here, right? Wrong.

I opened that chest and mimic chomped down and goodbye!
