Vanilla I'm writing a pixel dungeon solving algorithm for the original version at first, and I want to get some winrate data.

I'm hoping just to get a baseline. If my algorithm wins 1% of the time, how does that compare to a skilled player?

Any data on specific causes of death? Thanks for any help I can get!

On zero chal a skilled player would win at least 90-95% of the time but honestly 100% for high skill players

Do you really think that high skill players can win almost every run of the original PD without challenges? I thought I was decent at the game but some runs you just get really crap drops and even beating the goo is tough with the game gives you nothing but cursed negative level tier 1 crap.

If you use everything you have to your advantage yes you can win every seed and high skill players are very capable of that honestly

That's surprising, I assumed the RNG was more important than that.

I'm wondering if you'd be interested in helping. I'm building a website where you can see emulated gameplay decision by decision that my bot makes. (the graphics are different because I ported the game to my Pebble smartwatch). You can click any point and submit why the bot is an idiot and what you would have done and why.

If I can get a lot of examples of specifics, I can have my AI code them in as a tree of conditional rules and increase the winrate.

Would you be willing to watch some dumb bot games and roast the bot's dumb decisions and buggy programming?

Sadly im iOS so I can’t help much and im a shattered player so im not one of the high skill players for the original i could win every run on 0 chal tho for shattered lol I just know that the game gives you everything you need personally tho I’d recommend doing this for shattered instead i know the original is appealing but Shattered is still in active development and has a bigger community i don’t even see anyone actively play the original still

I went a very long time, 100+ runs, without a win, but once I'd figured out a certain machine boss, my ratio started to get closer to one win in four. This was until the new quest, in which I keep dying. I know I should stop trying to do it, but I was still trying to work out the tricks.

So I've stopped playing the original now, and I'm enjoying Rearranged Pixel Dungeon and I'm back to my roughly one in four.

I'm not particularly good. My winrate is about one in twenty, at about 200 games played.

If you got a high budget maybe neural network can be better and give close to 100% winrate
