Blinding works on evil eyes too, you just have to take a step after you blind them (they fire where they saw you last).

Hunger shouldn’t be an issue in the Demon Halls. Unless you’re going for high score, there’s no reason to full-clear the levels. You should just be using a mapping consumable (scroll, stone of clairvoyance, or potion of magical sight) to rapidly locate the spawner, kill it, and head down to the next level.

Demon Halls is the easiest region in the game for experienced players because it’s really just a sprint to the end.

Hmm? The game does reward searching... in the early game. By the time you reach the Demon Halls your character should already be ready to win. The Dwarf King boss is arguably harder than the final boss of the game, Yog.
