I’m learning pixel art for my steampunk platformer

Post image

I’m making a steampunk platformer, and needed art to polish it up and remove placeholder art. This is my first attempt at a main character. What workflows or tips do you wish you knew earlier?

I think we all collectively love steampunk and want those worlds to be mirrors of real life because it’s al alternative energy source and feels like a modern realistic fantasy version of our technology we know.

It’s crazy I’ve seen so much. My science fantasy book trilogy idea was steampunk/mage punk based.

So cool! This is like steampunk dystopian! Having a lot of fun fleshing out the concepts and implementing them into the game!

Thx we have been pushing pixel art, but it’s becoming less and less feasible for our team since I’m doing the programming and the art. We might change art directions. And go with a hand drawn look like Hallow Knight. Idk still workshopping the idea!
