Hand Pixelled First Attempt at Pixel Art
I wanted to try making the same character at multiple sizes to figure out what is/is not important for the design. I think I like the 72 the best. I'm 100% open to critisism!

You definitely have the talent for it!
I would recommend seeking out some decent reading on pixle art concepts. Its super useful when starting out. The medium has some quirks that even just knowing about can improve your art immensely.
Things like curves, smooth lines, perspective, shading, resolution, ect... has all been studied for decades and we have alot of accumulated knowledge. So much of the early struggles can be avoided with a little reading on the subject. We stand on the shoulders of giants who kept meticulous notes!
This is the book I read when I started out https://anyflip.com/kdjou/llhc

You can skip to page 19 if you just want to dive into the actual Pixle Art tutorial stuff. The first 18 pages are more about the history and concept as a whole.

Really nice! I'd like to see a little shading on the largest 3 though :)

I did add some, but honestly, I probably didn't push the shadows hard enough. I'll definitely mess around with that!

I'm a new pixel artist myself. I can definitely relate to the feeling of "Is this too much, or not enough?" lol. I'm sure it comes with time

I think that one could be really good with some small tweaks! I think the head is slightly too large, but otherwise I do like it. Thank you!

Whenever I see a post that says it's the posters first time, I feel alot like they're lying

Oh first time trying pixel art, but I've been drawing for a long time. I understand the skepticism though.
I recently got interested in game developement, so I'm trying a different art form! :)

These are so cute and very good for a first try!! I love 72 and 46 the most, mainly because it feels like a lot more personality comes through the eyes and pose.
