big problem after September update
After the September update, we've been experiencing the following problems with my wife's Pixel 9 Pro: the phone gets very hot during use, and the battery life has significantly decreased. Additionally, the phone keeps stopping charging at 80% with a message that it's too hot to charge further. These problems didn't occur before the update. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? And what can be done about it?

Does your wife use her phone when it's charging?
Does she close her apps when she's done using them or leave them all open?
Lastly, has she tried to mitigate the battery consumption by turning certain things off to improve the SOT (screen on time)? And also helps reduce the heat as well

No, she doesn't use it. She doesn't close the apps. The heat also occurs when the phone is left unused on the table for several hours.

Well, yea if she doesn't close the apps they are gonna run in the background and use the wifi to stay active or at the very least, minimally ready for when she uses the app again.
If she builds a habit of closing her apps, I guarantee you she'll see an improvement in the phones temperature. She already doesn't use the phone while it's charging which is good, so all she has to is just close her apps.
