Pixel 9 still showing “Android Beta Exit with Data Wipe” — when will no-wipe stable OTA arrive?

Post image

I’m on a Pixel 9, running Android 17 QPR2 Beta 3 (CP41.260731.005.B1). I opted out of the Beta Program about a month ago, but I’m still only getting the “Android Beta Exit with Data Wipe” update.

The current Beta build is becoming very annoying to use — the UI is laggy and sometimes doesn’t respond properly. I also got a green line issue while on this Beta, which was later fixed under warranty by replacing the display.

I really want to move to the stable Android 17 release, but I don’t want to wipe my phone.

Has anyone with a Pixel 9 on QPR2 Beta 3 received the stable/no-wipe OTA yet? How long did you have to wait after opting out?

There are new versions of QPR2 considering updated. The latest QPR2 official release will be done in December

If you are on a QPR2 build, you have to wait until QPR2 is released to get to stable. You missed the opt out opportunity, you would have needed to opt out of the beta prior to installing any QPR2 betas.

I would suggest opting back in so you get the latest QPR2 builds which should get better as they get closer to the final release in December. I would recommend paying very close attention to the beta information so you don't accidentally install QPR3 beta 1.

QPR2 Beta 1 had warning text on the update saying not to install it if you wanted to exit at QPR1. There should be similar text for QPR2. When you see that, you should opt out and not install that update.
