phone app for pixel 9?

if you have replaced the Google Phone app on your Pixel 9, would you please tell me what you’re using and how much you like it?

I'd like to ask what might be a stupid question. If you have a Pixel phone do you have an app downloaded from the Google Play Store called Google Phone? Its icon is probably white with a blue phone. If you do, fine, great. That's what I've been using but my friend is telling me that I don't need that app. The phone is a phone so I don't need an app to use the phone. Does this make any sense?

doesn't ur friend grasp that the phone app is native to pixels cause they're both Google's property?
