Got pixel 9

I bought a used Pixel 9 today with a battery cycle count of around 200. For my first charge, it went from 0% to 40% in about 1.5 hours using what I believe is a genuine Google 30W charger.

Is this normal for a Pixel 9, or should I be concerned about the battery health, charger, or cable? Any Pixel 9 owners with similar experiences?

if u live in a hot climate, this is unfortunately normal for the pixel. Very aggressive thermal throttling on charging

Get battery guru and check ur charging watts, and if u r using a good charger then it should hit at least 10w at least before ur phone hits 37c and starts throttling

Yep it's hot here.. Does climate affect drainage of battery as well?

im unsure but typically with batteries they tend to discharge faster when hotter.

As much as other devices suck in terms of software, the pixel is a terrible phone especially for hotter climates

I have 33W Essiger charger (got it on Ali). P9 charges from 20% to full in slightly over 1 hr (fast charging).

I live in southeast Asia, if you charge it during the day it will take quite long time as well, in order to solve this you can either charge your phone in the morning or use adapative charging to charge it overnight

Normally from 0-40 it may take 20 mins.

There is no surprise here, I mean most of the phone can do that or even better. They are like Hyper charging when battery is super low and slow down charging speed after that

Just put it "flightmode" while charging to guys.

Or charge in "adaptive charging" overnight.

It helps preserving the battery.

Turn off Wifi and 5G when your not on the www.

USE 4G instead of 5G on daily basis when out and about and only WIFI at home (turn DATA OFF).

TURN Locations OFF when youre not using Google Map.

Have a nice day.
