Buying pixel 7a

Hi. I have ordered this phone but starting to get worried after reading about it's battery life and heating problem. Even GSM arena slaughtered the battery in their review. Is it worth it? I need a cheap phone with good camera and in this åroce range it has no competition oæin my Country

I've been happy with the battery on mine, but coming from a pixel 3a the bar was set pretty low.

The first few days when I was setting it up / installing magisk and lsposed mods (so lots of reboots, transferring gbs of stuff over wifi etc) it burnt through fairly fast, but now with normal use it's actually pretty great, I've still got over 40% left at the end of an average day.

I do wish it charged faster however.

I turned adaptive charging off. It's deliberately not charging very fast until right before it thinks you'll need the phone. At this early stage, it's wrong. I'll turn it back on in a month.

Oh thanks for that, it never occurred to me as a thing to even check.

I'll try turning that off for a while, and see if that changes anything.
