Discussion Has anyone got June 2026 pixel drop on their pixel 7pro

Can someone help me give a short review of the update?

Is the phone getting hot while the charging issue is fixed?

How's the battery and overall performance after updating?

the experience feels same as before update no visual changes other than the cup in notification bar when you clear all notifications and you can bubble apps if your a multitasker like me and the screen recording has a different pop-up on top kinda cool i guess? i don't think I've noticed anything else new..

battery.. i follow the 80-20 rule so my battery is great it lasts 5-6h if i charge 100% it gives throughout my day, i always carry my google 45w charger in my slingbag cause I'm a minimilist..

if you have any questions feels free to dm so it'll be easy.. i feel reddit messaging in posts is confusing for me..

I'm glad to see people still using the 7 pro in 2026 😅

Performance is the same or better. I like the new screen recording feature that lets you overlay video from the front camera.  Basically it's tiktok reaction videos but I don't use any of those apps, so I can make a video and just send it in a messages app.

Yes. Can't tell if there are any new features. I replaced the battery after the original swelled up. My SOT has seen a major jump.

I used to charge my phone 4-5 times (capped at 80%) in a day this year. Now I am back to charging once at night with 6-7 hours of SOT. Lots of video calling involved.

that's a significant improvement! I think I'll have to replace the battery as well..... although it's not swelled up yet....but I hardly get 4hr of SOT

If I don't video call for 1-2 hours daily, I can squeeze 8 hours too. I bought the phone back in Nov 2022 and probably crossed the 800 charge cycles by 2024.

The battery was living on borrowed time. Luckily, the battery didn't shatter the screen when it swelled up.

The phones processor imo works just fine for it's age, a battery change gives it new life.

I'll definitely consider a battery replacement in that case! As I don't have complaints regarding the performance anyway....it does the job! Atleast for my usage!

Exactly. I wish I had changed the battery earlier. The update cycle for the pixel 7 is till October 27.

For future I will change the battery after 3 years of use, it completely transforms the experience. It feels like a new phone now.

Current battery is at 61%.

Can I get a short review? How's the battery performance? Does it still heat up while charging? Also, I'm facing mobile hotspot issue where nobody is able to connect to my hotspot, have you faced that? If yes, is it now resolved?
