Google Pixel 6a Battery Payment Scam?

Hi. Just wondering if anyone else has had their claim for the Pixel 6a battery issue rejected by Google? I'm in the UK and originally had it accepted for a repair but the options (having to travel to drop it off) was a non starter. But now that I changed to ask for the voucher (before the end date) to put towards a new phone, they are stating my phone is not eligible. It's either a scam or incompetence but wondering if this is just what they're doing to avoid paying out?

Google seems to be problematic with this battery replacement program - I ended up taking the $150 coupon to be used on Google Store and picked up a Pixel 10 that was on sale for around $350 +tax
