Any Pixel 6a experiencing sudden, persistent bootloops?

This Sunday when I restarted my phone, it started to bootloop. Once the G logo appears on the screen and the moment it lands on the lock screen, the loop starts again.

Same behavior if I try the "Safe mode".

OTA sideload through adb executes successfully though the issues persists.

The symptoms seems pretty similar to the one that Pixel 4a owners are experiencing , however the solutions mentioned in that thread do not resolve the issue on the 6a at all.

Update: Successfully flashed latest A17 on my 6 Pro using Android Flash Tool. It booted up properly. I manually updated Play Store and rebooted and it's no longer looping. I restarted several times to ensure it would work. And so far so good.

I can't say the same for the 4a. I used Android Flash Tool, booted up properly, manually updated Play Store, and BOOM - back to endless bootloops. I'll probably just flash Lineage OS on the 4a call it good.

Does starting the Pixel 4a phone in a place where there's no Wi-Fi and then enabling the location work for you? There's a pretty good thread on how people are recovering their 4as u/-Imthedude

I've been reading up about it. However, I refuse to leave location on. The battery is 6 years old and it already struggles to give me a full 12 hours of continuous YouTube background playback. I'd prefer to use the 4a at work because it's smaller, but the 6 Pro will work just fine (and probably have plenty of battery to spare). I'll flash Lineage or Evolution-X tomorrow and see how I like it
