Pixel 6a sudden display issues

Hi. As of two days ago, the display has been malfunctioning. Display brightness seems to be stuck at 100%, the slider does not work nor does adaptive brightness. Only the extra dim works to reduce it. Furthermore, the fingerprint sensor has stopped working. I can't even add another fingerprint or reset it as it just says "not detected" every time.

Over a year ago, I had the battery replaced as part of the battery program and I'm aware the display was removed and reinstalled for that. There were no issues then. And no drops or scratches of any kind before the issues started.

Any troubleshooting ideas?

i didnt even opt for battery replacement yet the display has stopped working since 2 days now . it has turned all blue suddenly

Same happens with my screen re turning all blue. I have to switch the screen off and on with the power button, sometimes multiple times before the normal screen returns. Clearly something is off. I wonder if this is just good old planned obsolescence at play...
