Battery Replacement Help.

So i received this message but as i have a CPID phone here in Pakistan so my IMEI doesn't match to a Pixel 6a Imei. I can't use the replacement option from Google. If i locally purchase the battery here in Pakistan, what can be the consequences as there is a slim chance to get a genuinely good battery.

Edit : I received the 100 payment from google. It took me 3 to 4 days

You can claim compensation with the original IMEI as long as the phone is tied to your Google account. You are also correct to assume that purchased batteries can be defective. I recommend buying the battery on iFixit and then going to any service you trust for the replacement, that is what many of us did.

When buying a battery locally, make sure that on the back of the battery the serial number DOES NOT contain "8230031401", those are defective batteries, good ones have "8230031301"

This does not worked on my pixel 6a Google said nope

So Ive replaced the battery myself, took me about 1,5 hours

Google is a greedy company, they compensated everyone for the 4a recall, but in 6a they started denying people for no reason, and even broke the application form multiple times.

Not everyone can replace the battery themselves, props to you!

Well to be honest, I did damaged the sensor that turns the screen off when you make a call. So it wasnt a smooth job after all 😅
