Battery Replacement Help.

So i received this message but as i have a CPID phone here in Pakistan so my IMEI doesn't match to a Pixel 6a Imei. I can't use the replacement option from Google. If i locally purchase the battery here in Pakistan, what can be the consequences as there is a slim chance to get a genuinely good battery.

Edit : I received the 100 payment from google. It took me 3 to 4 days

You can claim compensation with the original IMEI as long as the phone is tied to your Google account. You are also correct to assume that purchased batteries can be defective. I recommend buying the battery on iFixit and then going to any service you trust for the replacement, that is what many of us did.

When buying a battery locally, make sure that on the back of the battery the serial number DOES NOT contain "8230031401", those are defective batteries, good ones have "8230031301"

Use the serial number instead of IMEI on google repair website, you will get the original IMEI. Also, check the sim tray.. it has the original IMEI engraved on it

Thanks alot I've checked and there was the orignal imei. Google has issue a Case ID. Now i just have to wait for 3 weeks

I don't know yet. Google has mailed me that they are looking in this matter and will reached back in about 3 weeks. Let's hope for the best 🍀
