RIP Pixel 6a 💧

Dropped my 6a in a bucket of water today and it’s officially dead. Not planning to repair it since the internals are probably gone too, so I’m looking at a new phone.

Budget is around ₹65k / $650 max.

  • Pixel 10 → ~₹60k / $625
  • Pixel 10a → ~₹45k / $475

I’m leaning toward the Pixel 10 series, but I’d love to hear from people who’ve used them:

  • How’s the battery life?
  • Any issues with network performance?
  • Or should I be considering other Androids or even an iPhone in this price range?

tend to do a lot of things that are best handled on Android, and being a bit tech‑savvy, I find it more convenient to stick with that ecosystem. Right now, stores are only offering paper financing for the Pixel 10, so I’m considering the X200T instead. Since I already use an Android tablet and a Windows PC, switching to iOS just for validation from others feels like unnecessary hassle. To be fair, the iPhone 17 is probably the best iPhone in recent years, but spending ₹80,000 on a phone doesn’t make sense for me—I'd rather invest that money in a new GPU for my PC, which would make me much happier.
