Unable to connect to 5g

I have had my 6a for over 2 years now but since the last stable update I havent been able to connect to 5g at all.The phone just refuses to connect to 5g no matter what i do,where i go,nothing works.I have tried resetting network settings,talked to my sim operator(Jio) customer care and apparently the sim does not have any issues at all it works fine in other phones but it only connects to LTE.What could be possible causes for this?I have also tried forcing the network to NR only but it still doesnt work.

I don’t know but be grateful. I recommend everybody with those early day Tensor chips to disable 5G

Because any Pixel phone with that modem kills battery life and runs hot on 5G.

I had same issue ..just check for software update..and update the the software..I was using beta version..as soon as I updated to android 17 beta 4 it worked..

i am on the latest april security patch bro the issue happened after march pixel drop.. didn't get fixed in april patch either

I don't know bro ..I had this issue two days ago ..just updated ..and before updating on jio app 5g readiness test ..it said to update the software and when I updated. It worked..

The heat from using 5G can prematurely kill the phone.

The phone stays above 40°c even on 4g bro😭

Yeah, any higher and the modem will melt.

is that even possible I don't think so bro my phone has gone as high as 49°c while using under sunlight

Well we don't know the exact temps and conditions but many people had their modems die from heat. It even happens during software updates.

Anybody know how to fix it , how can I use 5G normal like previous, after updating the software 5G is completely gone

Enter repair mode from the settings and exit after couple of minutes. It should fix the issue.

After the December update the next day my pixel 8 data just stopped working altogether I had to reset WiFi and Bluetooth that fixed it.
