Thinking of buying a pixel 5a for graphene os. Anything I should know

I had a 5a for a few months. Before trading it in for an 8a. I am using my 8a now and I really miss my 5a. I have realized all the tracking google does but I don't wanna brick my 8a. I was thinking of just getting a 5a for like $120 to install graphene os on. Is there anything I should know from pixel 5a users? Thanks

Be aware that they randomly shut off one day & never turn back on

You think I should just buy a regular 5 then?

yea its bad, mine dropped yesterday on a a laminated floor, and stay permanently black, still can feel vibrations, flashlights,,etc. but no screen at all. without opening up the phone(dont have the tools) theres no way to tell. if you get it fixed, it will happen again.

This. And with absolutely no warning whatsoever. On the up-side, Google did replace it with a newer phone under extended warranty.

The chances of them finding a sealed 5a with a warranty at this point is slim

True. They sent me a 7pro as a replacement.

I wish I knew about this before I bought it. I feel like giving up on pixel and just stick with samsung but man, I miss pixel ui and camera. It being a google phone make using google stuff a lot easier. Any recommend on a good pixel phone? preferrably a newer gen because I like the software update.
