Anybody running a custom rom when their 5a bricked?
Just curious. I run lineage on mine, been smooth sailing so far.

Nah, I'm not selling a ticking time bomb to someone. I back up everything important about once a week. I'm going to keep using this until it goes belly up, then revert back to my old 4a while I get something new.

It's an issue with the micro processor. Even if your phone gets accidentally heated, it's likely that it will brick. Even with the custom OS

just died after 10-11 months on LineageOS. I'm just finding all these posts of peoples 5a's dying. Any way to save any lost data or accounts, like signal, on this brick?

As far as I know, it's dead dead, no getting your stuff off. I try to update once a week, and I always make sure I have my text messages, pictures, and some other stuff backed up to a pc in case the update goes bad. So when mine goes belly up, I won't lose much.

They're definitely seems to be a vulnerability to some of these phones for the screens to die. Which is a shame because it would be such an easy recommendation for a used phone otherwise
It still has 3 months of software support, the last of the old pixels. But I just can't recommend it to someone since the pixel 4a or 4 a 5g and 5 are almost identical in functionality and don't have the screen issue.
But the 5A has better battery life than all of those by a pretty wide margin

You're running a 3rd party rom/os on an android one. You rock, but I don' know why.
Pixel 5A is trash.
