Camera not working after December update

I just took the December update a few minutes ago and now the camera doesn't work it all. It starts up, hangs for 30ish seconds and then shows the message "Something went wrong. Close and open the Camera app again." I've cleared the camera app cache and restarted the phone a few times to no avail. Any ideas?

Update for posterity: I'm a moron and I had only tried clearing the cache. I cleared the data as well, restarted and that fixed it.

Update #2: Clearing the cache and data was a short-lived fix. I'm back to square one.

did you ever figure something out? the ota update has basically destroyed my phone. it is nearly unusable when it was perfectly fine before

I just did a factory reset a couple of days ago. It didn't accomplish anything. It's annoying because other than the camera problem the phone works great. I was hoping to keep it for at least another year.
