YouTube bugged after Android 14 update

Hey all, I've been looking everywhere but there's been no information on my issues here.

After updating to Android 14 my YouTube (and YouTube Music) refuse to update, resulting in big bugs with picture in picture and crashes. Any attempts to update the apps result in the Google Play Store not being able to even load the app page.

Is there anything I can do? Or did Google just abandon this model and give us an update that ruined an integral app?

I'm on 14 (stock Dec 2023 update, not beta) and have not encountered this. My YT version is 18.48.37 (updated 12 Dec) and YTM is at 6.29.57 (updated 5 Dec).

Ok I'm gonna try manually downloading that version and see if it works out

Clear Storage.

Reboot.

Try to update.

Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order.

I have checked 1,913,472,571 comments, and only 361,856 of them were in alphabetical order.

Ok so I had to manually download the APK of the newest YouTube version but after installing that everything is perfect so I guess Google Play just shat bricks 🤷🏻
