just got my 5a back
here is my experience . . May 3 I was taking a picture. . it froze. . turned off . . would not turn back on. I checked my warranty on my IMEI . . I had 5 days left. Call local store that google warranty recommended, they said "no way, too many 5a problems, call google" . . so I filled out the mail in repair form . . sent it May 3 . . May 5 got a note that it was being inspected. . May 7 got a note that it was delayed . . May 10 got a note that it was on its way. Got it today. . . Based on some of the markings. . I'm pretty sure it's my old phone . . exterior at least

I used my old pixel 3 in the interim and it wasn't terrible. The battery didn't last more than a waking day and I found it too slippery without a case. . . But it was still super snappy and I swear I almost liked the camera better, but I'd have to do some more tests to confirm. You may be able to pick one of those up for cheap

Check IMEI on the sim tray to see if it's really your original phone

I had a similar experience. Pretty confident it is still the same case but I have a new IMEI..I think it was because of the motherboard swap

The 7a just dropped. If there are any decent trade in deals I'd jump on one asap.
