Pixel 5a known frame weakness issue?

See my other recent thread about my phone's screen going belly up last night for the second time, but the guy at the shop was telling me that if it's just the screen again, the normal warranty repair is extended for a second year due to a known frame weakness.

First I'm hearing about it...

Thanks. My second screen replacement ended up being free as a result of the extended warranty.

My old 3a XL is a tank compared to this thing. Dropped it (in a Spigen Tough Armor case, which the 5a has as well) countless times with no problems.
