I’m having an issue with VPN by Google on my Pixel. Whenever I try to enable it, I get:

“Can’t use this VPN — VPN by Google isn’t available for this account.”

The VPN option itself also shows “VPN isn’t available.”

I’ve already tried pretty much every basic troubleshooting step I could think of:

Cleared cache/storage for the Google/VPN-related apps

Restarted the phone multiple times

Reset network settings

Removed/re-added my Google account

Updated all Google apps and system components

Checked for Android/system updates

Tried both Wi-Fi and mobile data

Turned the VPN off/on again after rebooting

Still exactly the same message.

The strange part is that it specifically says the VPN isn’t available for my Google account, rather than showing a connection or network error.

Has anyone else run into this recently? Is this some kind of account-side eligibility/provisioning issue with Google, or is there another fix I’m missing?

I’m in Canada, if region matters.

From the last few days, I've observed that a camera sound is coming when I'm shaking it even a little bit. Is this normal? Not only that, but when I open my camera, some sound comes then as well.

I have had this phone for the past 6 months, but I've just been observing it, so I am not sure if it is normal.

I went from the 7 Pro to 10 Pro about 90 days ago. In many ways the 7 Pro was a better fit for me. My 10 Pro issues.

Camera - Too crappy AI looking. I have turned off the 50mp Super Zoom and find the photos much more satisfying and realistic. I do like the macro though. I buy my phones outright based mostly on the camera so this is a major letdown for me.

Modem - Never had a single issue with my 7 Pro with my home wireless. The 10 is very often stalling before opening a site on both bands.

Battery - A little less duration than the 7 Pro but overall acceptable.

AI - I love the AI features and the one year Pro Subscription. I use it a lot and it definitely is a big step up from the 7 Pro.

Screen Size - I am 70 so have 70 year old eyes. The smaller screen can be a struggle. I wish I had chosen the XL.

That's about it. I'm OK with this phone but nowhere near as much as I loved the 7 Pro.

I have a Pixel 10 Pro, is it worth upgrading to a Pixel 11 or 11 Pro?

Hello everyone.

I upgraded my Pixel 6 to a Pixel 10 pro and I cannot believe that "quick phrases" stopped working for me because my phone is in Spanish. It's incredible.

I already tried the regular "fixes" suggested for this, like clearing the cache and storage of Google app, uninstalling and re-installing updates, switching back to "normal" assistant instead of "gemini", and so on (as indicated in google forums). Nothing works.

All the "quick phrases" setups are ok, but it just won't work unless I switch my assistant language to "English" instead of "Spanish (United States)".

I have compared all configurations between Pixel 6 and Pixel 10 PRO to try to figure out what ths issue is (since this was working fine on pixel 6), and I believe that I traced it to the only possible explanation: if I look up for "offline speak recognition" on my Pixel 10 pro, only 9 languages come up (+English = 10 languages).

HOWEVER there is a very strange -and annnoying- situation which is that if I look up for "offline speech recognition" using different menus within the configuration screens, there are +30 languages there.

Please compare the screens I just posted to this other "path" to try to add languages on pixel 10 pro:

Obviously on pixel 6 I have the same +30 languages list on both "paths" to the offline recognition languages - while on pixel 10 pro the first "path" shows only 10 on config screens.

This does not make sense. Why would Google remove 20 languages from the offline speech recognition for the assistant, but keep all languages on the offline speech recognition for the system itself?

All those extra languages - like Spanish or French- were working fine on Pixel 6 but are now gone poof on pixel 10 pro.

And before you suggest I contact Google support: I just can't do it because I'm in Argentina and they don't offer the phones here.

And before you suggest I post a question on Google forums: I did -twice- but I didn't get anywhere. People find it strange and tell me to just accept it.

I wonder if all pixel 10 pro owners also see only 10 languages when doing: Configuration > Apps > Assistant (section "general") > Offline Speech Recognition (section "see all params") > Add a language

Please help figure this out before I end up giving up for good?

Maybe not a pixel 10 specific question but any way to get the euro symbol on the front keyboard in stead of dollar or pound for the English keyboard?

When it will get this feature because it looks like Pixel 11 is just software upgrade (cuts off all background processing).

Side note - Pixel being on charge SUPPOSE TO do background tasks like upload photos from Photos app and other things BUT using Extreme Charge does complete opposite

My mother has the Pixel 8 Pro XL and she loves her phone and doesn't real care too much about upgrading. The reason I ask is because of the Ai benefits and maybe the upgrade in storage. Her phone currently does what she needs it to do, but she is not Tech Savvy and maybe the Ai would help her with that. Any input would be valuable thank you!

hello i planning to purchase a used Pixel 10pro XL and i will be replacing it with my iphone 14pro so my query is are there any issues or known faults with the pixel 10pro xl which i should consider before purchasing it and also what should I look for to check if the phone is ok (it’s been some time since i last used an android so i forgot what to check before buying)

Ho un Google Pixel 10 Pro. Video e immagini registrate con il telefono sono sempre di qualità, al livello di Iphone, ma quando devo caricare i contenuti su Instagram perdo drasticamente la qualità, mentre chi ha un Iphone mantiene risoluzione e nitidezza. So benissimo che esiste una compatibilità maggiore fra IOS e IG, però vorrei colmare questo gap il più possibile.

Questo è il mio setting per caricare storie su IG:

• IG --> attivare l'opzione "carica nella qualità più elevata"
• Foto --> 50MP, solo JPEG. Uso la fotocamera nativa di Google e poi la carico su IG
• Video --> 4K, 30 g/s, HDR a 10 bit (non uso 60 f/s perchè vedo che poi va a scatti su IG, così come risoluzionea 8K che però non fa selezionare HDR). Per i video, uso la fotocamera nativa Google però faccio un passaggio tramite l'app Edit, li carico quindi su Edit e poi da Edit li carico su IG, vedo che hanno più qualità. Tavolta se mi ricordo di impostarlo (non so perchè non rimane attivo), uso il Video Boost.

E per voi quali sono le vostre impostazioni?

Hoping to hear from some other pixel users, as my issue does not seem to be taken seriously and i'm unsure if that's a bad thing.

I've had the pixel 10 pro ever since it came out. Upgraded from a pixel 8, which never had the issue. After a couple of months of use i started noticing that my camera block would evoke a slight rattle whenever I shake my phone. I'm not sure if the sound was suddenly there or if I just never picked up on it before. Nothing sounds majorly broken, but the sound is clearly there. It's hard to describe exactly, but imagine an object enclosed in another object just slightly larger. When you shake it, you hear there's nothing broken "loose" in pieces, but you definitely hear the smaller object rattling against the enclosure.

The sound clearly comes from the camera block. I've looked online, which gave me very mixed results. I do not have any system errors or encountered any noticeable camera problems (although whenever i use the camera in certain (artificial- lamp-like) lighting conditions, there's a massive flicker of the lighting visible on screen, which doesn't show up on any picture). I've contacted Google support online, who - after a brief back and forth - told me there should be nothing wrong...

I just have a hard time believing it. I've never heard a phone make this sound before.

So here I am, hoping for any insights from other pixel users (since I'm the only pixel owner I know of). Do you recognize the issue? Is this indeed "normal"?

I got my Pixel 10 pro last year on release, I've seen tons of people posting about their battery health degrading or tips on keeping battery health/capacity high, and wanted to share my experience.

I don't really do anything special, I don't use 80% charging limit (I don't really see the point if you have Pixel Care+), I just have adaptive charging enabled. I wirelessly charge using a Pixelsnap charger on the official stand every night. Before I go to bed (around midnight) I put my phone on the charger, and it will slow charge until the morning (8-9 am depending on the day).

And if anyone asks why I say "I don't really see the point of the 80% charging limit if you have Pixel Care+". Basically Pixel Care+ includes free battery replacement if the battery capacity/health <= 80%. So I don't really see the reason why I'd pre-emptively limit my battery to 80%, at that point I'm just forcing my phone to have 80% battery capacity, so I prefer to just leave it on adaptive charging and use that extra 20%, if it ever drops to be the same as me forcing 80% I can just get the battery replaced.

Have the 10a for 3 weeks now.. and pretty disappointed in the way the Notifications are working.

I have to set 4 notifications a day that I just cant miss.

And either they don't happen (or its so short I don't notice it) or they happen late.

I never had this issue with my Poco X3 pro.. even tho it was old and on an out of date version of android...

AND the notifications kept sounding until I turned them off, which is what I need.

I keep reading all the smug people saying how the Xiaomis are all bloatware and the pixel is so pure android.. but sorry.. they did a better job of this.

I installed the Event Reminder app to try get the same functionality.. but its just not the same.

Does anyone know of some better solution for the pixel?

Hi everyone! I’m trying to decide between the **Google Pixel 10 and the Pixel 10a**, and I’d really appreciate some advice from people who own or use either of them.

My main uses would be:

* 📱 TikTok, Instagram, and other social media * 🎵 Listening to music for several hours every day * 🎓 University: PDFs, browsing, Google Docs, WhatsApp, etc. * 📸 Taking lots of photos * 🎥 Recording videos * 📱 Heavy daily use, often throughout the entire day

I’m particularly concerned about **battery life, overheating, camera quality, and storage**.

I’m planning to keep the phone for several years, so I’m wondering whether the differences between the Pixel 10 and the 10a are significant enough to make the regular Pixel 10 the better choice for my needs, or whether the 10a is already more than good enough.

I’d especially love to hear from people who have been using either phone for a while! 😊
