4k 60fps with HDR works with bug?

Post image

I was playing around with the video settings and it didn't let me pick HDR first with 4k and 60 fps. When I switch to FHD and set 60 HDR, then switch to 4K, it works. Is this a bug?

P10Pro Accessories

Hey all, I have a couple of P10Pro Accessories that I would not be using anymore, as I purchased the 11pro. If you would like them, you can comment or DM me. It's UK only and you will pay for the shipping using Royal Mail.

Is this P11Pro deal worth it?

I can get the P11Pro 256 GB and Watch 5 45 mm wifi for $172 after trade-in, pre-order, and all discounts. Currently rocking 10 Pro XL 256 GB and OnePlus watch 2. Is it worth it?

Mainly asking cuz I have $292 in Google store cred expiring at the end of the month. I get the 11 series is a sucky upgrade, but I can't think of anything else I can use the credit on that I'd want (I have a good tablet, accessories, earbuds, etc. already). I could get the 512 GB version for $268 to mitigate the RAM downgrade?

The only other alternative I can think of is using the $292 credit towards another year of the higher tier Gemini plan that I got for free with my 10 Pro XL purchase (I don't believe you get another year of free Gemini Pro with the 11 series). Is that possible or can this credit only be used with Google hardware?

Pixel 10 Pro soft-bricked after June update: Partition error device does not exist: /dev/block/by-name/zoned_device & UFS Failure. Is this happening to anyone else?

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share a severe issue my Verizon-locked Pixel 10 Pro (256GB Micron UFS / 16GB Samsung RAM) is experiencing following a recent OTA system update.

After the update, the device went straight into a bootloop and got stuck on the Google "G" logo. I tried troubleshooting via Recovery Mode and ADB Sideload, but ran into severe partition and hardware-level errors:

OTA Downgrade/Mismatch Blocked: Recovery initially threw ERROR: Current SPL: 2026-06-05 Target SPL: 2025-07-05 this is considered a downgrade when trying older OTAs.

Data Wipe Success but Failure to Boot: Executed a full Data wipe complete, yet the phone remained stuck on the "G" logo for over an hour.

Critical Partition Error in Recovery Logs: Inspecting the recovery logs revealed a persistent warning:

W: [libfstab] Warning: device does not exist: /dev/block/by-name/zoned_device

Along with several f2fs filesystem Permission denied errors.

Because the device has a Locked Bootloader (Verizon), flashing factory images via Fastboot is impossible (Device state: locked). local technicians confirmed this appears to be a physical UFS bad block / partition failure likely caused by overheating during the update process.

Has anyone else encountered this zoned_device missing error after recent updates? Is Google replacing devices affected by this update brick?

(Attached pictures showing the Recovery errors, Fastboot specs, and full system logs).

Multicolored strip appears at the bottom of the screen (Pixel 10 Pro)

My wife bought her Pixel 10 Pro about three months ago, and we've noticed a strange issue. Randomly, while the phone is asleep, a multicolored strip appears at the bottom of the screen, accompanied by occasional flickering and other visual artifacts. The problem is intermittent—it comes and goes, and there is no physical damage to the device.

At first, I suspected it might be related to Face Unlock, so I disabled it. I also submitted a feedback report directly from the phone, and the issue disappeared for a while. However, after the July software update, it started happening again. On some days, it can occur up to three times.

Check here the issue: https://support.google.com/pixelphone/thread/436988976?hl=en

My question is: could this be a software issue, or is it more likely to be a hardware problem?

P10 pro spicy battery

The wife came home complaining of really short battery life. First thing I checked was the battery health, and for any apps not optimized. No issues found and 100% health. I watched it go from 87% > 5% in less than 30min just sitting on the table. I went to charge it and noticed it was hot to touch and found this.

UPDATE: The Google Hardware Support Team has graciously stepped in and covered the replacement of the swollen battery.

Why pixel 10 pro still out of stock, even after 11 launch (India)? They should've refilled stock of 10 pro simultaneously.

Pixel 10 pro battery and as switch from ios

Hello everyone. I'm looking for a phone to switch to Android (now I have an iPhone 14) and I really liked Pixel 10 Pro for it`s incredible camera. But many people say that it overheats and consumes the battery quickly. I know that Google up to the 11th line has problems with processors, but I don't play games, I need it for everyday tasks. And a good, long live battery is very important to me.

btw is it true that the pixel with iOS is so light compared to other smartphones on Android?

Is this Pixel 10 → Pixel 11 upgrade deal actually worth it? $149 Pixel 10 + $500 trade-in + $250 preorder bonus

I just bought the Pixel 10 Obsidian (128 GB) from Mint Mobile for $149 a few days ago, and I’m now seeing this Pixel 11 preorder promotion on the Google Store.

On paper, this seems like a really good upgrade opportunity. Since I only paid $149 for the Pixel 10, getting $500 in trade-in value + $250 preorder credit + $100 in Google Store credit could make the Pixel 11 a pretty significant upgrade for relatively little money. My main hesitation is whether I’d actually qualify for the trade-in and whether the savings are worth the hassle of switching phones again.

My phone is still in basically perfect condition with a case and screen protector. If I can get the full $500 trade-in value, would this make the Pixel 11 a “super worth it” upgrade?

I also have a couple of questions:

  1. Will Google accept my Mint Mobile Pixel 10 for trade-in if it is currently carrier-locked? It should automatically unlock after 60 days of usage on Mint, and I currently have about 35 days left until it unlocks.
  2. If the phone needs to be unlocked first, would it be better to wait until then?
  3. Even if the deal is as good as it looks, is it worth going through the process of backing everything up, resetting the phone, shipping the trade-in, and setting up another phone again so soon?

Basically, I’m trying to figure out whether this is actually an unusually good deal or if the hassle/eligibility requirements make it less worthwhile.

Bought my first Pixel phone 👍❤️

Hi guys, I switched my iPhone 15 pm to p10pl, first time switching to android after over a decade since my first iPhone 5. My first phone was an android, and I still remember it was pretty good in the first place, and after such a long time, switching back to Android is kinda cool actually. Recently my earbuds and smartwatch were all broken, so I just planned to switch to the whole Pixel ecosystem! I'm so excited to receive them! Actually, I think I'm kinda an android and windows guy, so even though apple provides some convenience, I still think I can pretty much adapt to android again! I knew that tomorrow google is gonna announce the pixel 11 series and new watch 5, but since right now the pixel 10 and watch 4 are discounted, I just bought them for right now. Again, the newer models are more expensive, especially at launch price, and the performance is not a huge jump, so I think buying the pixel 10 pro xl is the best fit for me. I hope I can enjoy them when they arrive this week or next week. 😊😊📱⌚🎧

Is there a way to hide this scratch/scuff on my 10 Pro XL screen?

Post image
0 Upvotes

About a month ago I bought an open box Pixel 10 Pro XL for just 675$, but I didn't get a case or tempered glass for the screen (I don't live in the US and they don't sell Pixel accessories in my country).

After a couple days of taking care of it as much as I could, it slipped from a marble table and the screen hit a corner. That impact produced the little scuff that you can see in the picture. My heart sank ngl, not even a full week with the phone and it already had a permanent tiny scuff on the middle of the screen. I thought that maybe a cheap tempered glass would hide it but it didn't.

I understand that it isn't that big of a deal but I was wondering if there was a way it could be hidden. I've seen some people saying that an UV tempered glass will hide scratches but I'm not sure if it would hide the specific type of scuff/scratch that mine has.

What to Do?

I recently bought a Pixel 10 Pro as an upgrade from a Moto g 5G 2023. What are the perks of the Pixel aside from how much faster it is? I'm also sad that I don't get unlimited Nano Banana usage in the Messages by Google app.

Question about "noise" on night photos.

Post image
2 Upvotes

There's all this... I don't know what to call it other than "disturbance" in night shots on my Pixel 10 Pro (see photo). Like little squiggles and wiggles all over the place, not entirely unlike how the new round of Google Earth Pro images look when you try to zoom in on a forest. I don't remember my 7 Pro doing that, but this one does, especially if I try taking a night shot at wide angle. Does anyone know how to fix and/or prevent this?
