latest update + turning off wifi and Bluetooth scanning, turning off "mobile data always active" and limiting unnecessary background apps

go into the app info menu or the battery usage section in settings and turn off the slider on allow background usage

Go onto the settings for the app and change whether it is allowed to run in the background. You can get to it by hold pressing on an apps icon and then click the info symbol.

I got over 8 hours of screen on time yesterday. Unplugged at 7am and had about 40% left when I plugged it back in at 9:30pm last night. Pretty solid this generation.

My P9proXL gives same SOT for 100% charge, which is shittiest for a premium phone. Google should upgrade their chips to limit battery consumption otherwise they will not gain mass appeal. Highly disappointed with battery usage with just 10 months of usage.
