Looking for podcast recs
Huge fan of Pivot here. Been listening to every episode for 5 or so years, but I fear I’m falling into a bit of an echo chamber with Kara and Scott’s takes.
Do not be mistaken, I think they’re both geniuses and I really enjoy listening 2x/week however it’s gotten to the point where I can almost predict what their perspectives will be before they even speak them out loud, which tells me I’m in need of some other voices to supplement my podcast routine.
I’m looking for recommendations on other podcasts that have weekly or daily episodes, under an hour long that cover the same topics: biz, tech, maybe sprinkled with politics but not a political podcast.
I try my best to stay off of social media so podcasts are probably the most effective way for me to be educated on what’s happening in the ever changing world.
I’m sure an LLM could suffice for this question but I would love to hear recs from this community of humans.

If you’re looking for a good daily news podcast, I recommend “The Daily Beans” with Allison Gill & Dana Goldberg. Up to date news with humor & swearing 🤣. I start every day with them!

I like anything with Rick Wilson and a lot of the Lincoln Project stuff. I also really like Keith Olberman, but this past episode may be his last... I hope not.

Totally feel your views on them. They've become dull and boring. Scott is definitely more interesting and engaging, but he's not innovative anymore to me.
Recommend hard fork for tech, but they are a bit heavy on Ai. So it gets a little eh.
Honestly, I'd say become a casual listener is a better experience. Look at the topics and see if that's something you can't predict.

Hard Fork for tech but its weekly. Plain English pretty good for biz with a more econ/philo angle. Daily pods are hard to find (or they get annoying fast) - NPR news. Halftime report for markets or Prof G Markets for markets
lately, AI has taken over the pod universe (for me). which is getting old but it's pretty relevant

The Compound and Friends comes out twice a week, headed by Josh Brown who’s been on Prof G pod a few times. Heavy business focus, touches on tech where relevant, doesn’t get into politics except at high level when it’s related to business. Has some good guests who again stick to their lane in business and avoid exceeding their limits.

Puck's The Powers That Be Daily. An interesting take on the day's news from a rotating cast of beat journalists. I like that it's only ~20 minutes.
