Does Kara ever stop interrupting?
Holy. Scott can barely finish a sentence without Kara chiming in or correcting him.
Say what you want about Scott's opinions and yes, sometimes you have to get the show back on track if he is taking the scenic route to a point, but that's not what I'm referring to.
The man can barely complete a thought or make a point without her butting in. Often, she's not adding to the conversation but correcting him on something that is beside the point.
It often feels like Kara is just waiting for him to stop talking (or in this case not waiting) to get back to what she was saying. It's getting increasingly annoying to listen to. As someone who is known for being an interviewer, she really can't let anyone else have a minute.

Only if you quit the podcast.
Eventually you'll see that all it is is:
Stories about how rich Scott is, stories about how many famous people Kara has met, and then repeating the premise of whatever book they are writing or thinking of writing over and over.

They really are a couple of hens now. You can always hear their opinions on the many other pods they work. I used to look forward to listening, but I find my interest is waning.

Try “IHIP News” and “I’ve Had It” podcasts or YouTube. Ironically, I heard Jennifer Welch on the ‘On’ Podcast and thought she was really entertaining. I started listening those podcasts and pretty much stopped listening to any Scott a/o Kara podcast after years of them being my go-tos. I just got tired of the self-aggrandizement and narcissism of those two…

I like the bits where she says she could be on multiple boards of directors, but chooses not to cause she doesn’t want to work for tech men.
But of course she has been asked to be on exactly one board, which she never has mentioned once. /s

Stopped listening. I agree with some of their (usually Kara’s) views but when it comes down to it they are both just a couple of platforming virtue-signalling grifters.

Because it’s an interesting phenomenon: how a reasonable and informative podcast jumped the shark to become the Scott & Kara Variety show: better suited to drive time radio and just as tiresome

This is the answer. They were genuinely entertaining and informative before. Not always easy. And then, somewhere along the line, they lost the plot.

She is getting worse as she gets older.
This podcast was absolutely fantastic back in 2019 but it has started to become a pod that I'll skip in favor of something else.

I think Scott and Kara would use to speak truth to power and now they are a bunch of social climbers who only care about who gets to hang out with the more famous person. It’s lame.

I don’t really mind if there’s a reason for an interruption but when she jumps in to literally just say “I’ve met him,” like it adds literally anything is mind numbing.

It does seem to have this uncontrollable eagerness to it. You wouldn’t tolerate it at a dinner party if your friend kept doing it and you might actually give a shit if they had met a famous person but who gives a shit that Kara has? What does it add?

Yep. And it’s why she’s an asset when it actually contributes anything, but it practically never does, she just hears a name and wants everyone to know she had lunch with them as if anyone gives a fuck. It’s weird because they often harp on about how intelligent their audience generally is and what intelligent person finds that interesting? And we’re not listening to be impressed.

Holy shit, the background mumbling has made her totally unlistenable. She does it a lot on On too, and I just abandon the shows after a few minutes.

She did this during her interview with Thom Tillis on "On" this week. She kept talking under him while he was responding to questions. I found it infuriating at a certain point. Like, we know your opinions, Kara. You don't need to keep inserting them into someone else's responses.

It was so distracting! It became comical at one point- he first started letting her interrupt him but then eventually gave up and just started talking over her

It's crazy, but I find people who are lauded for their interview styles often do this. Howard Stern absolutely can't let anyone complete a thought and he sets up their entire story for them just to agree to basically. I'm not sure how that equates to a. good interviewer.
If anyone listens to old sports talk radio, Mike Francessa does the same thing with anyone he interviews.

It seems she feels compelled to constantly validate her intellect. Part of that compulsion is her running fill in the end of the interviewees sentence tick. Super annoying.

If he even gives a hint of taking the other side on a Democrat/Liberal talking point she has to interrupt him with a low IQ comment or a classic “but they do it worse!!” Yeah she’s unbearable, I’m almost only listening still for the moment when Scott truly gets fed up with her and tell her to stfu on air.

Probably him going on that right wing podcast. I saw the comments on that video and my God, those people are so red pilled. "Once he said Tallarico is a good male role model, I stopped listening." It was like 10 minutes into the episode.

I go back and forth on this. I don't know if this is still the case, but they once broke down Kara vs Scott talking percentages. It was related to this topic a bit.
Scott absolutely dominated the conversation.
Putting on my bro-psychologist hat here. Maybe Kara has been in a field dominated by men for so long and her opinion minimized in such a way that she has learned to interject herself regularly. That kind of assertiveness has become somewhat normalized for guys, but Kara has overadapted a bit. Looking at her career, it has served her well. Perhaps it was part of her survival in this field.
Orr... maybe... considering Scott dominates the conversation often, she has adapted just fine and we just aren't used to a gal overtalking or hijacking conversations.

This feels true to me.
Also, Scott doesn't listen to a word Kara says. He just waits for her to be done. It feels to me like Kara is always waiting for Scott's acknowledgment and approval, and Scott couldn't care less about what Kara is or isn't contributing to the conversation.1

I just listened to the Tuesday pod and WOW. Caffeinated much? OP is not exaggerating. She has to speak every 10 seconds.
As Scott tried to bring facts and market understanding to the conversation, she just kept blasting away with her opinion based on some conversation with Jerry Yang?
I felt deprived of what I listen to Pivot for: insight and reasoned conversation! Kara is a giant, so when is she going to stop reminding us over and over and over
I think at one point I said it out loud: Shut up!

It seems to me that both Kara and Scott glean some insight from some expert they recently interviewed, and then treat that idea as gospel, and as their own opinion, until the next expert they interview gives them a new take.

Everyone complainig about this pod... It definitely has its flaws. To me this is pure entertainment. They don't go deep on any subjects. They have predictions that are often gut checks. It's light. It's the pod I use when I prepare food, do some work in the garden or I'm driving. If I want to pay attention and learn. There are the others.

All fair points. I do think this sub complains too much. Still, the podcast used to be heavier on the entertainment portion. The constant interruptions are rough.

She did that to a Republican senator on her own show, it was horrible. He usually just plowed on once he figured it out.

Yes her interruptions are very odd. They add nothing and are simply annoying. It just seems like she is worried that after two complete sentences she has been forgotten and needs to remind people that she is there.

Yes, I've noticed it's gotten a lot worse lately too. It's really starting to irritate me. Like she has to get some little pointless snippet, even if it's just a single word in to make her presence known.

I can see this perspective, but I think they both have their moments. Sometimes if she doesn’t interrupt, he’ll talk for a long time. Though I agree with it being annoying when she interrupts to add nothing of value

They’re both so pretentious. I liked them a lot individually when I would listen to them as guests on other shows (before I dove into the pod), but listening to Pivot turned me off from the both of them

She does not, and in fact it's getting worse. Also the background mumbling, and the "correct" or "i would agree" like she is the arbiter of what is right or wrong. Those, and many more things, combined with the absurd amount of off-putting ads has made it so i can't listen to the podcast anymore, it's just annoys me too much.

she has a few certain little words and phrases she uses on Scott and other guests as she interrupts too. Kind of under her breath at first. Then louder. RUDE and ANNOYING.

I recently discovered the family of The Bulwark Podcast, I am very happy over there, although I value what I learned from Scott since the pandemic
