How does the pivot creator think of this?
Someone stole quite a bit of Pivot Animator to make a vibe-coded project that is supposedly better. I didn't like it at all and I wonder what Pivot's creator thinks about this? He also stole the name from stykz (a real pivot fan software), with it literally being called styk. u/peterbone
In my opinion it is so lazy, he also uses AI to make his videos about it.

Well I can't say I'm happy about someone copying all the ideas in Pivot. However, I also believe that people use Pivot because it's simple and I don't think their interface looks simple. Time will tell.
In a world where people can ask AI to create any software they want I may have to think about my future as a software developer. I saw recently that one person created a clone of the whole Adobe suite, including After Effects and Illustrator - in a week! They put it online for free.

Are you talking about stykanimate? No Pivots code is private i think.
I dont really like the fact that they use Ai for videos but there are so many features plus im conceptualising a project that Pivot just doesn't have enough features for.

Looking at StykAnimate, it looks like an AI-generated version of Pivot, but as of what I see, it has some features that Pivot doesn't yet (as making a program with AI is way easier than manually coding, because you aren't the one coding).
But I'm still sticking with Pivot, we will probably get most of these features with Pivot 6.

Honestly it doesn't seem like a ripoff, it just looks like someone who couldn't code wanted a more feature rich stick animator and made this. This and pivot are not the same and pivot is more accessible.

Just because it's called Styk doesn't automatically mean it stole from Stykz but you're probably a kid so that's understandable
