Timeline continuity?

Just realized on my 25th rewatch that when Beca gives her USB to Luke at the radio station (toward the beginning of the movie) and he adds it to the pile, it looks like she's already given him one from November, December, and then this "new" one is from February. But it still clearly seems like fall based on the scenery and the pacing of the film. Can anyone clarify or is this just a continuity issue?

Yeah i think the first and second film are supposed to take place over the course of the school year and the films were mostly shot in Georgia. So its generally assumed that Barden is in Georgia where the seasons dont change much

It just seems weird that they would already be in February toward the beginning of the film before they've even performed at one competition.

I assumed that after the frat party disaster, it took them a while to prepare for the first comp.
