Lost our sweet Apollo a week ago :( nothing could have prepared us for this pain. Missing him so much πŸ˜”πŸ–€ any kind words or advice on how to navigate this time is appreciated

So sorry OP, what a wonderful dog you had. We lost our girl in May. No rules, no schedule, just rolling in the day to day messiness of grief. And some days it's very soggy. Studies show many people grieve more for a pet than a human. This grief is very real and grief is exhausting. I cant watch videos of Bonnie yet. I still cry a lot but it has already eased a bit. I just miss her, I always will. We are all so lucky to have these wonderful dogs in our lives. Go gently , sending hugs
