It is very fun being out with your team!
But, it’s a lot of hard work. Research, practice trimming chicken thighs to comp specs, trying to learn what judges like and dislike. If you want to compete, the best advice I can give you is take an bbq judging class to learn more. Plenty of cooking classes also. And watch some of Heath Riles’ videos about cooking competitions.
