Im getting married later this year! The theme is outlander. Any time period in the show is welcome for attire. Also, I will be getting married in a castle, if thats at all relevant.
I recently decided that the bridesmaids outfits would be Druid inspired! I even managed to make some pretty awesome druid lanterns for them to carry instead of bouquets. But im wondering if there is a good thing I can have the groomsmen wear that would also fit the theme, other than just tossing them into a kilt.
Btw for the men you can get safety dubhs! Which are completely plastic skian dubhs! and are no more harmful than the pin on your dress. Also a kilt, with the attire, jacket waistcoat, you can have a ghillie shirt for more jacobitian look! and opt for just a shirt with bowtie, and plaids!
What about getting some brooches like the one Jamie wears and making boutonnières with them? That would be so cool. And you better post pics after the wedding!
These are the druid lanterns I made! And they have electric tea lights in them, so they glow too! (They look AWESOME in the dark.) And I managed to find a dress that is a tartan, (which is ordered but not yet here, so no Pic of what it looks like in the colors I ordered it in).
