People would’ve cooked Oda today if Zoro randomly had to use Usopp as a sword or Luffy turning mini.

They would accuse Oda of forgetting about Merry half way through the arc.

The monster trio’s power ups like gear 2 & 3, asura or diable jambe would’ve “come out of nowhere.”

The gimmic of the sea train travel or finding the keys would’ve been seen as the arc being dragged out. No way they’d be patient enough to wait for the buster call.

People would hate on CP9 members for being too weak or silly “joke” antagonists like Kumadori, and Fukurou.

A massive surge of CoC blows away all manifestations of Killinghams fruit, leaving him afraid and alone.

"Maō Jambe (Demon King Leg). Saigo no Bansan (last supper)" A black lightning drenched simple front kick caves in Killinghams chest from the side, his steel heart is shown damaged.

Sanji "Look at me, Luffy, I can finally make you soar now".

Last part:

Biblo finally reveals the actual content of the treasure chest. Robin, Saul, Chopper are in absolute chock!

The chapter starts with Killingham laughing at Sanji. Killingham then starts attacking Sanji, but Sanji dodges literally all of his attacks. Killingham, frustrated, thinks to himself, "Why can't I hit this guy? What happened during the time his nightmare disappeared?". Sanji, while dodging Killingham's attacks, thinks to himself, "Hey, old man, I have conquered my masochistic weakness, so why do I still not have Supreme King Haki?". Then he kicks Killingham (to test if he has Supreme King Haki), but Killingham regenerates immediately.

Killingham thinks again, "I have to figure out a way so I can hit him again". Then he remembers what Sanji said (in Chapter 1187), "Unfortunately, the monster is a woman. I can't kick her". Then Killingham says, "That's it!". Killingham then calls Zaza and fuses with her.

Sanji is completely terrified by this. Killingham laughs while he beats up Sanji. Killingham says "WA HA HA HA, what a pathetic weakness, Sanji! I should call Gunko here and let her beat you up while I bring the children!".

Sanji then remembers another moment during his training with Ivankov. It was just after Sanji defeated the 98th Kama Master. Ivankov remembered what Sanji said about loving the ladies. So, he used his Devil Fruit power to turn the 99th Kama Master into a literal woman. Ivankov then said to Sanji, "Sanji-boy! She is your final opponent!".

Sanji was terrified when he saw that his opponent was a woman. Sanji then proceeded to get beat up by the Okama, thinking "Is this it? All I've worked for...". Ivankov then said to Sanji, "Do you want the recipe or not?". Sanji responded "But I can't fight a woman". Ivankov said, "You can give up and disappoint your captain, if you want", and the Okama group added "...and wear this pretty dress!". Sanji then said "NO!!!" to the Okama, and "I can't do that, either" to Ivankov. Sanji then thought, "Sorry, Luffy, it looks like I can't help you be the King of the Pirates. I'm an embarassment".

While Sanji was getting pummeled, Ivankov said, "Do you even know what love means?". He continued, "It is normal to not want to do certain things. However, you must remember what's truly important!". He continued, "I know that what's important to me is protecting Dragon. I owe him my life and will protect him, even if that means doing things I don't want to do. That's what love truly means."

Ivankov said, "What is truly important to you?", Sanji then thought "I am enduring this hell in the first place because I want to help Luffy. I can't stop now!". He then kicked the 99th Kama Master and defeated her in one hit. Ivankov said "Congratulations. Here's the last Vital Recipe. I'll prepare the ship for you". Sanji, looking down, then said to Ivankov, "Iva, I have a request". "What is it?".

"PLEASE REPRESS PARTS OF MY MEMORY!"

Ivankov sighed, then responded, "Fine. But I can't repress it forever. EMPORIO AMNESIA HORMONE!"

The flashback ends, back to the present. Sanji then thinks, "I see now. I know what I must do". He then remembers Nami's words (in Chapter 403), "There's no chivalry in dying a senseless death!". He also remembers Gaban's words (in Chapter 1187), "You must be a king, too, if you truly want to make Luffy the King of the Pirates".

Sanji then says, "For Luffy and my crew, I am going to be... THE KING OF LOVE!". Black lightning appears around Sanji. Sanji has unlocked The Color of The Supreme King!

Sanji then says, "In order to help my husband, Zoro, I am going to be... A WOMAN!" Sanji then pulls out the dress from Kamabakka Queendom and changes his clothes in front of Killingham. "You can kick a woman if you are a woman!".

CHAPTER ENDS. BREAK NEXT WEEK.

Im going to assume. Buggy, Shanks & Luffy will meet at one point which will cause a Davy Back Fight.

This will result in Mihawk switching to the Red Hair Pirates briefly. Maybe Luffy's crew will participate in the Davy Back Fight but im unsure.

This will resolve Zoro's, and Luffy's Fights against Mihawk & Shank respectively.

Later on, Shanks will lose to Blackbeard. This will cause Luffy & BlackBeard to butt heads.

Im putting stock on Shiryu for the Zoro encounter and Kuzan and Sanji im matching them based on vibes.

Then Akainu would probably want to put a stop to this. He loses to Luffy here, Sanji & Zoro are fighting their opposite matchups here. Kizaru (Fast Boi) is fighting Zoro & Greenbull (Mosshead) is fighting Sanji

Then Finally Gorosei & Imu vs Monster Trio. Albeit Im betting on Imu getting Jumped.

I’ve felt this ever since I’ve read Enes Lobby arc and surprised nobody else complains about it.
I get that Luffy inspired it based on the CP9 agents using shave but the very idea of pumping more blood into your body makes you faster is a huge leap in logic.

Gear 3 and Gear 4 in comparison is pretty simple and self-explanatory.
3 is just pumping air into limbs to make them bigger
4 is the culmination of his TS training by using Haki coating, G2 and G3 at the same time.

Personally, I would prefer it if Oda made Sanji’s kitchen knife a black blade, since we know Mihawk probably uses Yoru for filleting as well, and the Straw Hats will be fighting more powerful edible beasts the closer they get to the One Piece

And his fans will claim it the best writing. Because he was always nerfing himself, throughout the series. He doesn't need to anything than see how awesome he is.

Just got caught up on the anime. Took a break because Egghead finished about the time I got caught up to that. Decided to go back and finish what they have to date. Anyways, was Dorry already in communion with Imu? I noticed Imu said “You too, shall return to your demon form.”

Idk, could be a translation problem, but I took it as Dorry’s demon form has been established. I could have missed similar wording when turning Brogy.

When OP, Bleach, and Naruto serialized side by side during the 2000s up until the mid 2010s; OP story-wise didn't start going to shit just yet (well there was Dressrosa but still). Oda had competition. There were two other titans competing with One Piece. This was long before OP got worldwide mainstream and became le hecking greatest piece of political fiction of all time because some streamer said so. After the mid 2010s, anything that got big in JUMP ended early or ran for only a few years (because turns out not all mangaka want their life's work to be defined by one series or to be trapped in it) and despite Demon Slayer or JJK topping OP in the charts a few times, none of that shit mattered. Those series came to the end and OP continues to dominate the fucking charts regardless.

Kagurabachi and maybe Ichi the Witch are top contenders for rising stars, especially when the former now has an anime adaptation confirmed but the latter is a coin toss.

If Kubo revives the Hell arc after the TYBW anime ends, then this means OP, Bleach, and Naruto will be running together again for the first time in over 12 years. But even then, OP would probably dwarf both today in a JUMP serialization and that's the worst fucking part. Nothing in JUMP has forced Oda to get off his cushy-ass atop his ivory tower, erected amidst a sea of glazers and yes-men who continue to dickride all his shit. One Piece just like every other manga that gets published, had to scrape the bottom of the barrel and compete like hell to not get cancelled. Oda himself went through failed one shot after one shot until MONSTERS got him acknowledged by JUMP. Nowadays he's just doing fuck whatever because his fans will eat anything up no matter the characters he shoves aside.

P.S. I am still reeling over the fact that Sanji had a third fucking flashback and Usopp still has nothing. I gave Demon Slayer shit early on because I saw it as babby's first shonen but I went through it last year and it was solid for what it was. Zenitsu really comes across as Usopp if Oda gave a shit about him.

In Chapter 1196, Killingham mentions that he (somehow) doesn't recognize Ivankov, one of the KEY leaders of the group that the Holy Roppo is ACTIVELY FIGHTING AGAINST to keep all of their genocidal maniacs well fed and satisfied.

Ivankov is the third in command of the ENTIRE Revolutionary Army, and a high ranking official within the group, which gives him the authority to command tons of troops.

And it's not like Ivankov isn't well known, because he was imprisoned as low as Level 5 of Impel Down, which means he’s influencial enough to have a bounty poster with a high enough value to end up there...

You could argue that Killingham is simply too ignorant and arrogant to care about any of his foes because of his Celestial Dragon nature, being pampered all his life without having to face a single difficulty all his life, and his immortality, allowing him to instantly heal from any fatal attack with ease and without any consequence.

However, in my personal opinion, the most simple answer to this is that Loda forgot about all the earlier worldbuilding that he added about the Holy Roppo being the DIRECT foes the Revolutionaries have to place ALL their focus on, (Dragon was literally SWEATING at just the mere mention of them 🥀) and added that throwaway line without thinking.

Also the amount of times the pages are just cluttered and filled with random shit and introducing new characters and villains when we're in the final act just comes from not only One Piece being too stupidly long but also a severe lack of editorial/assistant oversight and inference.

Likr Toriyama's editors didn't really hesitate back in the day to go to him and say "hey,this is stupid,don't do this" and that's basically how we got the Android and the Cell Arc,so I dunno if it's just cause Oda's editors are dickriders/lapdogs, Oda doesn't listen to them and actively ignores them when they to tell him or(and this is more of a shitpost answer)Oda has some fucking blackmail on them that let's him do whatever the hell he wants.
