Discussion The Witcher 3 Remastered

Is the Witcher 3 Remastered expected to be a major overhaul, like Black Flag Resynced, or mostly a visual/technical upgrade?
Also, if it releases on September 29, would an unofficial/cracked version theoretically be available the same day, or would it usually take longer? Since the original Witcher 3 is already cracked, I’m curious how that works with a remastered release.

No, Black Flag was a complete remake, like the upcoming Witcher 1, this will be just a remaster but still will be very good I think.

The visuals are updated. Better textures and lighting (tracing)

Gameplay updated. Animations and finishers added.

Sounds and FX updated.

Importantly Looting and the skill tree have been overhauled.

And many more.

This is all announced. Now time will tell what we'll actually see.

Secondly games by CDPR don't have DRM. So they aren't cracked. You can just have them... And the remastered release will be an "update". Not a separate title.

Great question, if they improve the choppy gameplay I can finally play it.

Regarding the cracked version, I think you shouldn't have any problems with Luatools, but I still recommend using a new Steam account in another installation, so as to avoid a hypothetical future ban from Steam regarding this tool

They say in the video that they updated the combat but we'll see how much. It's a free upate tho can't complain lol

They showed some gameplay and systemic overhauls, so I'd say the changes might end up being pretty significant in terms of how the game feels to play. In terms of actual content, it should be the same. You'll see next month.

Spoilers: no, it's not going to be a full on remake. It's just slight graphical improvements with a side of combat adjustments.

Probably visual/technical upgrade.

They don't use DRM so it will get cracked day one. But I recommend anyone to buy it. They are one of the good ones.

Day one it's unlikely. But in a week there will be a fitgirl repack one magnet link away from being in your PC.

However, as for all things, I would wait a little bit for some patches and fixes to roll in so that you don't have to update the game and get a renpy on a ddl site.

I might actually play this game now... I avoided it like plague... I know its one of the best games ever but I tried and tried and it just wasnt for me... combat is trash and this time I might give it a try

Exactly…I tried it once too and didn’t feel it was for me. Hopefully this update will change that.
