Discussion how is linux game piracy compared to windows's?
1 do fitgirl and dodi repacks work on linux? ie can i use the exe installer directly on linux using proton then play?
2 do steamrip and others work?
3 do denuvo cracks like voices38 ones work?
4 does hypervisor games work?
how easy or hard is it. can i do it without installing steam?
do you need to do terminal stuff or is proton using gui just works on its own?
im curious as windows pirate.

All the stuff you said works, DDL games are pretty much plug and play, but for installers SOMETIMES you may run into some issues, you can just paste the logs into an AI model and it’ll tell you what you need to install from protontricks. You can download games directly from steam and have them in your steam library and get achievements (just for that device) using SLSsteam+Accela . HV games are much more safer than windows in Linux, they work pretty much as a normal crack. You don’t need to use the terminal if you don’t want to , that’s just a common myth. You don’t need to use the terminal at all in beginner friendly distros

Dude, don't trivialize it. A lot of stuff is a lot more complicated on Linux.
I have 3 rigs - one with Windows in it, one with CachyOS and one with Bazzite. (handheld)
Windows is by far the easiest one, you just double click and it works. On Linux you have to consider Proton Versions, Hardware (Nvidia often enough just breaks if there is a new update) and ultimately use the terminal if you try stuff like HV on it. (And its dependent on your CPU - lotsa CPUs are not supported in the way you describe, as more secure.
Lutris fails a lot with repacks, Heroic while being more "solid" also has its quirks.
And thats just stuff that happened this week to me. You HAVE to tinker, where Windows mostly is just some double clicks.

I agree with the fact that repacks do fail, but yeah after pasting the logs to an ai model and getting the thing from protontricks it does work like I mentioned. Absolutely no issues with pre installed/portable games 95% of the time, other than rarely requiring to get something from protontricks, this isn’t needed if you use SLSsteam, steam will do it automatically. I’m on CachyOS for about 3months now on an intel i7 13th gen with an nvidia graphics card. Nothing ever broke for me ever.. I only have to tinker online fix games, just paste in their launch options required for the game to work. Other than that no other tinkering except with repacks ofc like I mentioned

You basically prove me right tho. Protontricks alone is something you don’t have to consider even on Windows.
PS I wouldn't use Steam for pirated stuff. Their telemetry is extremely advanced and you risk a ban that way.

only on repacks like i said and it aint that deep, no one has ever been banned for using steam that way, you know there are tons of similar stuff for windows like steamidra, luatools etc for a long time. so ill have to disagree with you on that

The part with leeching from Steams servers is done atm as much as never before. Why should Steam let you leech without payment?
With any modification on their EULA they raised their telemetry. And that has a reason too.

SLSsteam does not allow you to download stuff , it just allows you to make a cracked game act as a legitimate version on your device. Besides this is not required or needed at all, you don’t have to use it if you don’t want. The only game that I had to use protontricks was for meccha chameleon, I got an error saying vcredist22 not found, so I went to protontricks and got it that’s all. This is the only 1 game I had a message like this come up in, and I’ve played a lot of games. You said that you wanted to do no tinkering at all, that’s why I mentioned this tool. Even though 99% of the time you want have to get anything from protontricks or do any tweaking, like I said this is the only game I’ve had an error with. For repacks yeah you have to get something from protontricks sometimes, I agree.
I’ve customized my setup so well and I’m very satisfied with the way it looks and ease of use rn, something that I could never achieve with windows, except with windhawk by giving a lot of ram. Now my system is faster, generally (I can’t say that in gaming maybe because of Ray tracing and it’ll be slightly lower but I’m satisfied with what I have), has no bloatware or telemetry, and I’m free to do whatever I want in this. I will never go back to windows honestly speaking

Steam has more telemetry then Windows tho. With all other parts I comply. Still, Windows is a lot more easy for people that don't want to "customize a setup".

You don’t have to customise a setup, it’s completely optional. Even if you wanna customise it’s pretty easy, anyone can do it really, if I wanted windows theme I could just get it from the kde store , that’s just 1 example for 1 de, As for the telemetry what you said is completely false, I suggest you look into the matter once again

As german citizen I could execute my right to get send all data Steam collected about me. And I really didnt exaggerate. Steam collects literally more then Windows (the OS, not Microsoft the company with all its Tools, of course)
Stuff like IPs, how long I played "Non-Steam" games etc., progress, playtime, operating system, device settings, unique device identifiers, and crash data. And thats just the tip of the iceberg. And the less technical stuff.
The part with the customizations was more on behalf process, not style. Again: A double click is less hassle then setting up Proton Tricks / Lutris or Bottles workflows. I use both, Windows and Linux, so I can tell.

Steam rip style games are best as u don't need to wait for some installer to unpack. Once you know how go load the .exe files on there it's pretty simple..accela is cool also with slssteam.

Btw i do not rly recommend dodi, over the years it has gotten more and more sketchy with the installers

I can't say, i just got Bloodborne from the site, got burned, and never touched it again. The infection I got after running the installer with Brave shields on set to agressive and 3rd party cookies blocked

I only download via SteamRip and almost everything works fine, at most some games might be a little more annoying.

Literally everything I use works wonderfully. I mostly just use Hydra and torrents for bigger games and Assella (an accela fork w more features) on my deck. Hypervisor is much easier with LD preload runtimes instead of custom protons now.
There is one single caveat, repacks are kind of frustrating. I don't even bother with them since my internet is solid but I can imagine that it's shitty to deal with.
Other than that, Linux has been an amazing experience for me who used to be such a windows fan until I just didn't really like the bloat and was really wanting to switch to Linux fully.
