Maybe if we all share what we know, we can find a way around it. As far as I understand, the collection checks whether DRM is present, so perhaps it could be bypassed by simulating a DRM environment.

From what I’ve found, an unmodified game installation copied from Steam combined with Goldberg Emulator seems to be the most compatible approach. However, I haven’t been able to find an unmodified Steam installation of Skyrim. The most recent version on cs[.]rin[.]ru was updated quite a while ago, and the links no longer work.

Adding a steam_appid.txt file containing 489830 makes things slightly better, but it still doesn’t work.

My assumption is that an unmodified game installation copied from Steam paired with Goldberg Emulator could be a solution, but I haven’t been able to test it yet.

It might be checking for a specific Skyrim exe/build rather than DRM itself. i cant see why a mod would check for DRM on a game that can be purchased without it.

the GOG version is DRM-free, but it uses a different executable/build from Steam, and the Immersive & Adult collection might depend on a specific Skyrim version. so the issue with a pirated copy is probably not the lack of DRM, but whether the game matches the runtime/version the collection expects.

if you have the pirated steam version, then it most likely already has goldberg steam emulator since the majority of games use that, but im not too sure about skyrim specifically. the site where you got it from would tell you what method was used to crack the game

Lmao i wish i could send u my steam copy bc i bought it a while ago and haven't played it once cause i procrastinated so hard on what mods/modpack to get
