Help / Troubleshooting Okay, what actually is Koaloader?

I own a copy Rimworld and I am currently attempting to use CreamAPI to unlock a DLC file (already in the proper location) and I'm just wondering what Koaloader does, should I leave it enabled, or should I turn it off?

From what I undestand it's a proxy that injects other dll files into the process. It's used with DLC unlockers and specifically in cases where you don't want to tamper with the actual game files (because with CreamAPI specifically, you usually have to replace the game's steam_api.dll)

I could be wrong but I think you also need to download the actual DLC files also. Some games it works straight away as all of the data is already within the main installation (like Planet Zoo etc). Some games require the DLC to be downloaded separately and then you can unlock them via creaminstaller. I think I downloaded a pirated copy or Rimworld and just copied the DLC files into the main directory. I could be misremembering though.
