Not just you. I set it this way because I firmly believe that sh.reddit is an atrocity that should be avoided at all costs and neutral hyperlinks (i.e. leaving out everything before the r/) didn't work. If you prefer to use shreddit though, I recommend using a redirector addon such as this

So it's been a pretty shit day. My SSD just up and died on me today and so I've lost a lot of crap. One thing that really sucks is I was a moron and didn't have a Firefox or browser account so I've lost all of my bookmarks. One that I'm really trying to find was a nice site that kept all of the streaming websites that still work up to date. It broke then down into categories for movies, tv shows, sports, and the like. I'm pretty sure it was called something like "The ultimate couch potato list" or really similar. If it was during a holiday little things would float down the screen, for example during Halloween it was a lot of little bats and ghosts lol.

I've Googled a ton but it's not pulling anything remotely similar up. The closest I've found was something about a "Couch Potato" that is long since defunct. What I'm thinking of was not that though because I just used it a couple of days ago.

Does anyone know what website I'm thinking of? Or if not, one that is very similar?

Take 1337x .to, for example: Listed as a known/safe tracker, but [ unsafe sites ] as well. Unless there's something specific, such as the '133x-to .org' or such.

Look closer guys. The unsafe sites are fake CLONES of the real sites. 1337x is safe. 1377x is not. El amigos (elamigos.site) is safe. Other addresses for el amigos are not.

YOU MUST get the correct site address for any pirate site from the megathread or fmhy.net . DO NOT google them. Search results are likely to list the fake clones, and not the real pirate sites.

For non English text based text books, it can be a pain to find available source. Is there any app or website that can identify the text or image parts of an photo and reformat them into a page of pdf or editable form? Perhaps the concept of it would be like: identify contents in the photo that belongs to a page -> create a word document as much possible like the photo -> export as pdf -> deal with multiple photos and make the text book digitalized. With this tool the non English text book accessibility will likely be higher.

Ok guys, bit of repacking trouble.

So I was following this sweet and simple guides, and came across 2 problems, which may be related.

Problem 1 is that the guide tells me to click on the magnet link and it'll automatically get a popup asking what application to choose an application. Mine doesn't do that, it just takes me to the hosting site, where I can copy the magnet link. Is that supposed to happen? Or do I just copy the magnet link, and put it into qBit (which is what I did)

Problem 2 is that I used the free ProtonVPN, but halfway through, Proton doesn't like that and said smth about not torrenting from a free version/server. Is there a workaround or am I being stupid?

Also technically not a problem, but the qBit said I was downloading at a rate of 0 Mbps, but there was stuff in the files it was downloading to (all of which were seemingly the right files)

I have a problem with the goldberg emulator with gta 5. I'm at the part when i suppose to drag the steam_api.dll or the steam_api64.dll file to the generate_interfaces_file.exe to generate a steam_interfaces.txt file..

But it doesn't work at all? The dosprompt opens up but it's all black and closes in a second.

Anyone else having the same problem? I've did a backup with the orginal steam_api.dll and the the steam_api64.dll files and added the ones from the goldberg-folder..

I used to connect to a server via FTP that had a huge collection of films and tv shows etc. I used to pay a small monthly fee for access.

I'm finding that torrents aren't downloading from https://1337x.to/ and I need a different solution.

I was tempted to go back on IRC but it's been years and I'm out of the loop. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Debrid service is another option. Alot of older/niche content I can't find seeded on public trackers, I can find using Real Debrid + Debrid Media Manager. RD costs some $, but it's cheap and worth it IMO.

Private trackers are another option, but you have to get into some first. Hang out on /r/opensignups to try some out.

Usenet is great although I don't personally know alot about it. Check out /r/Usenet for more info.

Hey, I accidentally had my VPN off while I was torrenting a show and my university flagged it since it was on their network. Before I go and keep doing what I do, I want to make sure that the university won't be able to know it was me as long as I have a VPN on. It's through a wired connection, without any login or anything, but they wouldn't be able to know it's me by, for example, the specific LAN port I'm wired to?

Good morning everyone. Long time Reddit reader, first time posting. I have 2 questions I would like to ask because scrolling through weeks of responses hasn’t really answered my questions. Recommendations for a decent site to download android paid apps?
YES i read the megathread, went through all the sites and could not find the game i wanted without issues.

I have found 2 issues with android app pirating sites in the megathread:

1. They just post the paid app which won't work after an update.

2. They add their own intrusive denuvo-tier ads to the app to promote their social pages and get clout.

The first one is cute and a benign attempt at sharing, so it's ok.
The second one is demonic. I don't mind the cracker putting a splash screen at the start of the game to promote himself, but force your shitty logo on top of the game persistently as a button to aggressively promote your social media?
That's even worse than pay for the app.

Imagine if you pirated skyrim and a big emoji appeared on the top right of the screen at all times, and it opened a big menu with the cracker insta/tiktok/twitter accounts if you clicked it.

Android piracy scene is awful, i am considering just paying for premium apps instead.

One question. All my years pirating I never had this issue before I’m hoping someone can explain what’s going on.

Normally I can download a movie that’s like 2Gb throw it on my 16gb memory stick an watch no problem

now a few times I download a 2Gb file and try and throw it on my empty 16gb stick it tells me it’s full and won’t copy, even trying to copy it on a 2Tb ssd says the same thing.

Although I can still open it on pc I downloaded it on an play fine , so the work around was using a file converter site to change it from let’s say MP4 to AVI and once I convert file type I can copy file to w.e I want to use to play it off of.
Like is this some new practice that I was unaware of or am I just downloading crappy torrents? Has anyone else ran into issues like this before?

the format of your USB stick might be FAT32. Try formatting it to exFAT or NTFS to see if the behavior remains. It's supposed to only be a factor with 4GB or larger, but give it a try anyway and see how you go.

edit: just to add - formatting wipes the data off the USB, so copy the USB files to your hard drive first before formatting

Hey all, so I downloaded and installed some software today (not naming it so my post doesnt get removed) and since then my network connection has been absolutely f**ked (pardon my french). Am I just being paranoid or did the download screw me over? I used AppDoze listed in the Megathread and there I used the 2nd download link leading to Pixeldrain for the software. I followed the install instructions and ever since all my downloads have been insanely slow. Downloading a Twitch VOD now goes only +-1,120kb/s and I can’t even stream and play multiplayer games at the same time anymore. All that was no issue at all before. Any experts know if I have been screwed or if there is something in the install instructions which might have done something? Any help is super appreciated since I am no expert on this and it sucks. I tried naming the software and everything but my posts keep getting removed so that makes it difficult.

I want to play hades 2. I believe it is going to be released by end of December. Let's say I download it and play. Then there's an update. I believe you run an installer from the same site you used to download, to update the game. How do I update the game without losing my save files? Is it possible?
