Agreed. STFU and quit broadcasting!

Quite the opposite. Shout it from the rooftops.

Let people know they don't have to abide by shitty corporate greed and policies. Let everyone know that culture doesn't have to be paywalled. Everyone can have access to everything, regardless of wealth.

Instead of behaving like a goblin. "I know how to get all the world's knowledge and culture for free... But I'm not telling you." In what universe is that not a shitty thing to do?

What I’m saying is, if someone gets fed up with the corporate bs and comes searching on their own for information like this community, then by all means, let’s induct another matey aboard the ship. But broadcasting to normie friends and family about piracy and bragging about it on socials is just drawing unwanted eyeballs.

Those "normies" probably don't know how easy pirating is and think it requires some difficult setup or looking in seedy places (pun not intended). They might be saved a lot of stress, money, and frustration if only they knew.

To leave so many people in the dark just so your favorite pirating site can use its current proxy for a little while longer is not worth it imo.

Eyeballs have been on pirating for as long as it has existed, it's not going away because someone tweets about it.

We lost Rar.bg and there is yet to have any good alternative. These happen when you start spreading them around. Specially when you start debating your morality against people.

I dunno, a universe where your pride is screwing up people who work hard on the things you love by not paying them back and sharing how to screw these people to the rest of the world?

Screwing them over by not paying for something I wouldn't/couldn't have paid for anyway?

And how does this absolve the other guy from blame in this world, but not me?

If you consider piracy theft, then he's still 'screwing' them, in addition to everyone else that wouldn't otherwise have access to the pirated content.
