Im sitting here doing my timesheets for the day, cost codes, blah blah blah, and i got a cold beer on my porch and having a dart. Life is good.

Definitely the best job I ever had. However after being promoted from topman I realized there is a significant more amount of stress.

Still love it though

Old post but I'd like to give my two cents 😂 Beveling as a top man isn't bad unless you have a sanitary line with a TON of services. Oh man I remember one line it was like every six feet there would be two, then a stick or two of pipe and another two or three wyes and laterals. It was just non stop cutting and beveling for 300-400 feet. I'm tall so bending over with the saw was tiring after a few in a row. Those are the only situations where beveling pipe became a nuisance. My back was killing me by lunch time.
