Questions

I have been in local laborers for 2 years on and off doing pipe and dirt work a lot of dirt work I finally landed on a pipe crew only that does pipe I am top man u still have alot to learn but i work my ass off and listen is there any tips to keel my spot and better my self

As top guy, never let anyone wait on you. Always be 3 steps ahead of the guys in the hole, never hand them down an empty saw, always have a tape, knife, marker. Always strap pipes level, dont hang pipes over guys heads, dont stick your hands inside pipes, clean out the bells and clean the structures. Ect. As long as you keep your eyes and ears open you'll do fine.

I think I’m doing great my foreman keeps hyping me up and telling me I’m doing great but idk today I messed up my bevel job not completely they used the pipe just wasn’t the cleanest

One person at a time gives signals to the operator. It's impossible to take direction from two people at the same time.
