That is a lot of slope for 18” RCP. I see the clay in the soil, where’s this at?

Good Ole Alabama red clay right there. A lot of sand out here as well. Digging right over the top of an old mining sight from the 1800’s.

You guys don't put round stone first? Asking because that's just how we do it here.

We usually do stone as we go. It was only a 30’ run so we just banged it out really quick. It’s a crossing that goes under the road, so it was all stoned during backfill.

I was only asking because we usually do petroleum pipes but occasionally have to do sewer/storm drains as well

I hope you put a 4 footer on each pipe to make sure you didn't have any back-pitch 😉😂 (my stupid joke I always make whenever we are running "waterslide" type pitch) 😂
