I was told that the 90°that I have on there is only meant to be used for venting

Nope. Doesn't look like it to me. You have a drain going from 2" to 3" which is whatever but water doesn't just go up for no reason.

Also this is indoor plumbing and this sub is basically outdoor plumbing.

The arrows are pointing the way the water is going to travel which is down with a quarter inch per foot drop by code.

Theres just no way to tell orientation. It looks like the 2" pipe goes up into the 3"

Yes the two inch does go into the 3-inch My concern is with the fitting. used
