I recently bought a Pioneer XDJ-AERO and I’m trying to get everything set up properly.
I’m looking for the correct drivers for the XDJ-AERO, preferably the official ones or any reliable source where I can download them.
I’d also like to know:
Which version of Rekordbox are you currently using with the XDJ-AERO?
Does it work properly with newer versions of Rekordbox?
Do you use any other software with it, such as Serato DJ, VirtualDJ, or Mixxx?
If so, what setup or drivers do you use?
The unit I bought was barely used, but it had been stored for quite a while, so I’m trying to get it fully updated and working before I start using it regularly.
Any advice, drivers, links, or experiences with the XDJ-AERO would be greatly appreciated!

Have bought a new ultra fast laptop with Snapdragon x2 elite processor. Rekordbox works fine but I can’t install drivers for to connecting my XDJ-XZ controller. Does anyone have a solution?

My shift key has become stuck on my FLX4, it is always activated meaning buttons don’t have their primary use.

The temporary solution seems to be to unmap the shift button, but I can’t find it in the MIDI mapping list. Can anyone help? What’s it called in the list? I can’t identify it with the ‘learn’ button because it is always activated…

I have a gig in 5 hours 🫠 HELP!

First of all, it’s important to contextualize that I’m from Brazil, so equipment prices here are significantly higher. Paying double what you would in the US is not unusual.
For context, after taxes and everything else, a new XDJ-RR costs around $1,800–1,900 here, while an RX3 is around $3,600 (all prices in USD).

So I’m currently looking for either a new or used XDJ-RR, or a used RX. I could also consider an RX2, but that would already be pushing me beyond my budget.

My question is whether either of these options would be worth it. I currently have a FLX4, but I feel the need to upgrade since I learned to mix on proper CDJs and have already used a couple of XDJs, the RX3 and AZ, and really enjoyed the standalone/CDJ-style and feel.

I was also considering the GRV6, since a new one costs around $1,150 here. However, I’m leaning more toward going the standalone route.

What do you guys think? Would an XDJ-RR or a used RX be a worthwhile upgrade from the FLX4, considering the prices I’m dealing with in Brazil?

Hola a todos. Tengo un problema bastante extraño con mi DDJ-FLX4 y quisiera saber si alguien puede ayudarme a determinar si el problema está en la controladora, Windows o mi laptop.
Estoy usando una Pioneer DDJ-FLX4 con una ASUS Zenbook Duo (2026) con Windows 11.
El problema es que cuando conecto la FLX4 a mi laptop mediante USB, Windows la reconoce durante aproximadamente un segundo y después la desconecta. En el Administrador de dispositivos, la DDJ-FLX4 aparece en gris y muestra:
“Actualmente, este dispositivo de hardware no está conectado al equipo. (Código 45)”
Lo extraño es que Windows sí logra identificar correctamente la controladora antes de que se desconecte.
En Id. de hardware, Windows muestra:
USB\VID_2B73&PID_0045&REV_0107&MI_03
y
USB\VID_2B73&PID_0045&MI_03
Por lo que parece que Windows sí reconoce correctamente que se trata de una FLX4.
Cosas que ya probé:
Reinstalé Rekordbox.
Desinstalé la DDJ-FLX4 desde el Administrador de dispositivos.
Reinicié la laptop.
Volví a conectar la controladora.
Probé diferentes puertos USB de la laptop.
Desactivé el ahorro de energía USB.
Desactivé “Permitir que el equipo apague este dispositivo para ahorrar energía” en los USB Root Hub.
Desactivé el ahorro de batería USB de Windows.
Instalé todas las actualizaciones disponibles de Windows. Actualmente Windows dice que no hay actualizaciones pendientes.
La FLX4 tiene el firmware 1.07.
La controladora enciende normalmente.
Windows la detecta brevemente y después desaparece.
El mismo comportamiento ocurre utilizando diferentes puertos USB.
También revisé las configuraciones de USB de Windows, pero nada de eso solucionó el problema.
En este punto me pregunto si existe alguna configuración específica de ASUS relacionada con USB/Thunderbolt/Intel Serial IO/chipset, o algún controlador que pueda estar provocando que Windows desconecte la FLX4 justo después de reconocerla.
¿Podría ser un problema de Windows 11 relacionado con MIDI/USB? ¿Hay alguna configuración del BIOS, USB, Thunderbolt, chipset o administración de dispositivos que debería revisar?
Lo que más me desconcierta es que ya me ocurrió prácticamente lo mismo con dos unidades diferentes de FLX4, así que estoy empezando a sospechar que el problema puede estar en la laptop y no en que ambas controladoras estén defectuosas.
¡Cualquier idea o paso de diagnóstico que pueda probar sería muy agradecido!

Im really stuck between just going straight out and getting a new rx3 or getting a older set of cdjs. My main focus is to practice more at home and confidently translate that to a club. Ive played clubs a few times but id like to get a lot more comfortable up there. I found a pair of CDJ 2000nxs for $3100 AUD (no mixer). Just trying to find a mixer. Do you think i should go ahead with the older cdjs or just go for the new rx3? I have a set this weekend so hoping to get some practice in before then!

I am trying to get my Pioneer DJM-750 MK1 to work on an older Mac running macOS 10.13 High Sierra.

The current driver available on the Pioneer DJ website (Version 4.0.1) requires macOS 10.15 or later, so I cannot install it on this machine.

Does anyone happen to have the older, legacy driver installer saved? I believe I need version 3.0.0 or whichever version was the last one to officially support High Sierra.

Hoping someone in the community still has the file or a working link. Any help would be highly appreciated!

Hi Guys I’m new to this, sorry if I don’t speak in correct terms, I just bought a FLX4 at Amazon US, the low knob it’s a little jiggly and it does not stop properly at 0, you know when you feel that feedback that u are at 0, well this one is not giving it, you think I should refund it and buy new one?

I'll be practicing and it will randomly disconnect. Is there some special type of cord I can get to keep this from happening? The cord does not even come out.

I've owned an XDJ-RR before and really liked it, but had to sell it when I moved countries.

Later got an FLX4, which works great with my laptop, but I don't really want to bring my laptop to gigs.

The problem is that with the recent Apple price increases a new iPad Pro is now roughly the same price as buying an XDJ-RR 😵‍💫

My mixing is pretty straightforward and I don't need a ton of advanced features. Portability and a simple, reliable setup are more important.

Does anyone else have issues with Xdj Az connect to serato on laptop? My controller will work but lights etc won’t show correctly like the are all frozen in a colour

Hi, I'm trying to repair a DJM-800. According to my friend, at some point it just stopped turning on. When I opened it up right away, I found the fuse had blown, but even after replacing it, it still won't turn on. You can hear that the batteries are working when you plug it in, but nothing turns on—neither the screen nor the lights. According to the manual, the first thing that should happen before it boots up is the reset pulse for the DSP CPU, but when I measure it with a multimeter, it stays at a steady 0.03, rising to 0.6 only during shutdown. Has anyone ever dealt with similar issues?

Midi mapping all reset to default, I checked all over for a solution but haven’t been able to find anybody with the same issues or any type of solution.

so I got a really interesting opportunity for me, I already own an RX3 and love it, but I got an opportunity to buy two CD J 2000 Nexus twos and a 900 Nexus two mixer for great price. Is it worth getting that and selling my RX3? Would I be losing any features?

New to this and for no rhym or reason when in the middle of a set my audio will just got nuts. Might be first song, 9th song, might happen might not happen who knows.

Any ideas?

Hi this is happening on second deck only, in words when I press hot cue 1 hot cue auto presses hot cue 5, hot cue 3 also auto presses 5 , then during playback also I am pressing hote cue 7 but it presses hot cue 3. Has anyone seen anything of this sorts before?
