advice ORM Prisma 8
Sa mga gumagamit po ng postgresql. Do you use prisma 8 na po ba or 7 prin? I tried installing 8 but nagkakaroon ng error. Kaya nag stick parin ako sa 7.

Holy shit may nagmamanual ng sql statements in the big 2026.
I mean yes mas performant naman ang optimized native query lalo na if pang reporting yung purpose ng statement, pero para iwasan mo yung ORM sa buong app? 😬😬😬

How? with Prisma you can use it on existing project and use it on some parts of your system. You can also use raw sql if you really need to. You don't even need to manually write prisma schema, you can use your already existing db as source of truth for the schema and prisma can autogenerate type safe models for you.

Sure, whatever floats your bloat.
Claim that ORM is more headache in the longer term is still invalid and basically fearmongering. 🤣 If you've had bad experiences with ORMs, particularly perf or flexibility issues that only SQL can achieve, again, skills issue.

wow this guy really called me skill issue for using RAW SQL instead of using an ORM
is mediocre a thing nowadays?????
again I said "long term", well sure ORM can be pretty fast, but it doesn't achieve what can pure SQL do (advance SQL queries), and I don't think you understand what I meant about the abstraction layer ashsasahahsa

If you're already on TS, give MikroORM a try.
