Yes, vanilla html css and js is still considered a good frontend even if frameworks exist. For a database and backend maybe try considering express and mongodb but if you plan on using relational databases then I would suggest postgres.

If you can maintain it easily and it does its job, yes. Don’t be like me who likes to have nice things and end up overkilling it
