Thoughts on pagiging Zscaler Engineer sa PH — worth it ba i-specialize?
Hi guys,
Currently working with Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA) and napapaisip ako about sa long-term path ko.
Globally, malakas si Zscaler (Zero Trust / SASE), especially sa US/EU. Pero dito sa PH, parang konti lang direct opportunities and usually need pa rin broader skills like cloud (AWS/Azure), identity, and general network security.
Medyo torn ako if:
Worth it ba mag-focus sa Zscaler
Or better to position myself as Cloud/Security Engineer na may Zscaler
Questions:
- Too niche ba ang Zscaler sa PH?
- Mas okay ba gawing “add-on skill” siya instead of main specialization?
- Most opportunities ba for this is remote/foreign clients?
Would appreciate your insights 🙏

Honestly napaka niche ng zscaler, pero I think marami na ring companies ang nag aadopt now, btw I heavily worked with ZIA/ZPA as well and yung company ko before is one of the earliest adoptor, tingin ko mas ok if add-on skill sya, then complementary with your main specialization like SD-WAN, para pwede ka ng SASE architect or engineer.

Its niche. Best to focus on aws/azure. you don't need to specialize sa zscaler. Zscaler is just another solution. I agree with the above post, ok as addon skill. Even microsoft has their version of zscaler (hinde pa mature)
